TAV Airports at AIREX 2010
International Civil Aviation and Airports Exhibition AIREX 2010 which is regarded as one of the leading global aviation organizations opened at the General Aviation Apron at Istanbul Ataturk Airport under the main sponsorship of TAV Airports. Over 150 firms from 30 countries are participating in the Exhibition with over 40 business jets joining the visitors.The 8th Airex 2010 which is organized under the main sponsorship of TAV Airports and with the support of Ministry of Transportation, General Directorate of Civil Aviation and General Directorate of State Airports Authority, brings together the giants of aviation sector. TAV Airports together with all its airport operation and service subsidiaries participates in the exhibition at its 175 square meter stand. TAV Airports President M. Sani Sener who opened the exhibition said “Today, there are 150 thousand freeways that reaches to other continents in the air. 20 thousand aircrafts navigate on these freeways carrying 4.7 billion passengers a year. There are no other alternative economical activity. With such acceleration, Airex Exhibition will be followed by more international and Turkish aviation authorities than recent years. We are proud to be the main sponsor of such an important organization”. Aircraft manufacturer Airbus sent its favorite product A 380 to Istanbul for the second time for AIREX 2010. A 380 which is parked at the General Aviation Apron at Ataturk Airport was welcomed by the traditional aqueduct giving visitors to Airex 2010 a chance to view the largest passenger aircraft in the world.At Airex 2010, whole range of air vehicles and aircraft engines from passenger aircrafts to business jets, helicopters and sports planes are on display as well as flight control systems, simulators, ground, cargo, passenger luggage systems and equipments, apron and terminal systems, airport security and integration systems. Participants include airport and terminal operators who are significative representatives of the aviation sector, airways, charter and air taxi operators, aviation clubs and occupational corporations. Over 150 firms from 30 countries are participating in Airex 2010 which will be open to visitors until October the 3rd.
